Big world, many cities
Current mood: grateful
Checking in from our World Domination Tour……
Apart from the wrinkly clothing in the suitcase problem, everything else has been pure bliss. Each town seems to have their own personality. Lets just say Portland enjoys a taser apparatus, and now because of them, so do we. Seattle likes to scream, San Fransico has exceptional air drummers and love just exuded from Vancouver, Santa Barbara and San Diego.
Leaving for London today and can’t wait to be a part of all that British lovliness. We’re very, very excited about that. After that, it’s New York part two. Are you coming? When it’s all said and done we start on our record. Get ready.
For those of you who have been so amazing to come out and see us play we just want to give you a GIANT thank you. As you know, we are a baby band (and we need a drummer, we know) and you are so kind to come out and show your support in the very beginning of all the madness. May we have a long journey together. All our love, UHH
togetherness
Current mood: content
We almost can’t believe it ourselves but it’s true. We are together again. No airplanes. Only the scooter I ride to the valley now. 10 minutes and there’s Cam waiting in her cute socks at the door. Life is good.
We are going to video blog in a couple of days to say hi but not today because I chipped my tooth and I look like I should be be in the swamp catching alligators. So for now we are writing to tell you that we love you and can’t wait to meet all of you on our little tour.
This might be exciting to some of you gory types. As a special holloween surprise we will release “Daddy” for your viewing pleasure. Be warned it’s gross and if I remember correctly Cam is a prisoner in a weird outfit, I kill someone, Clea is a cop but never does any rescuing and daddy has a horn on her head. Classic cinema if you ask me.
Until next time……. stay lovely.
UHH
blow up mattress again
Current mood: awake
Don’t even start with us. We are fully aware that we blow in the blogging department. Here’s what’s been going on. So much. Cam is kicking the computer right now so forgive me if my typing is crazy. We just saw a cover band at some random bar in Vancouver and it was magic. They played Led Zepplin, Cory Hart, The Beatles and some other great crap I can’t recall. We went to see Jodi Fosters new movie yesterday and today Cam came to visit me on the set and saw me in spandex. We wrote a song too cuz thats what we do. ummmm, lets see, it’s almost time for us to reunite in LA and it’ll feel so good. I return soon and then life will be back to normal. Then we play the knitting factory and also will do a west coast tour. The usual, top to bottom situation. Oh, I know what we wanted to talk about… you know the moon man that got thrown into the audience? Well we think that since he’s suited up to travel that he should do just that. Don’t you think that you guys should pass him around? We think that each person who gets him should take a picture of him in his surroundings, log where he’s been, put it all in a box and jet him off to the next destination. It should all be posted too. We want to see him have a really exciting life. Moon man style. We love you all like peanut butter loves jelly-UHH

Current mood: high
It’s late. very close to tomorrow. In some places it’s already tomorrow. Thats deep. In a way, today is tomorrow. Thats super deep. What we’re saying is some people are closer to getting UHH faster than others. Right? Or are we way off base? Do some of you have it already? I love how we need to ask you whats happening. We feel close enough to you that we can ask you what the hell is going on. See thats how tight we’re getting. The lines are blurry. We don’t know where we end and you begin.
So the awesome merch has arrived. It’s delicious. Not your average crappy merch. Super softy and simple. Go on and get some. We want you to. Watch how your life will unfold into a whirlwind of fantasy when you’re wearing our stuff.

Current mood: predatory
Hello friends, a bit of news for you…
The Beckams came to America.
Our E.P. is coming out next Tuesday.
July 24th.
You have to buy it.
Here’s the deal. Don’t be mad. The iTunes release got pushed. We will let you know the date it becomes available on iTunes as there will be an exclusive track available there.
YOU CAN BUY IT TUESDAY on our site UHHUHHER.COM. Everyone anywhere can buy it there.
It was our mistake. We turned our exclusive song “Mystery Lights” in too late.
We aren’t business people.
We have a hard time with deadlines.
We love you all and can’t wait for you to hear it.
So yeah, Tuesday morning will be like christmas with the best f..cking gift under the tree that you have to buy yourself.
We would fly to each and everyone of you in a sleigh and hand deliver you the E.P. but we are busy, busy, busy, and Cam is scared of reindeer.
kisses to you,
UHH
Do you have friends? Tell them too.
Send UHH your questions, and they will select 20 and answer them on video! Deadline is this Friday the 13th. Spooky.
LOVE UHH
[Read the Q&A here - there was no video]
Go check it out! Our main site has been lauched!
Forum is up and running, so leave us some love. We hope this finds you all well. We also will be putting a new video up shortly, so stay tuned.
In addition to that you can hear a sneak peak of our track “Explode” on musicsnitch.com
LOVE UHH
Explode sounds super hot! You must check it out!
Dear UHH fans,
We’re just writing to say hey. Hey. Right now we’re both in Vancouver writing and rehearsing our live show. We don’t have our rehearsal space until tomorrow so we might go take a tugboat somewhere. You can’t force creativity. Maybe the boat ride will spawn some moment of genius. Maybe tugboating is the port into the unknown. Maybe you’ll never hear from us again.
We still don’t have a drummer and we are ok with that. There are ways around it. When we need them, they will come.
For those of you who want to walk around with us on your chest, our merch is in the works. We’ll have really cool t-shirts. There’s nothing worse than a thick, stiff, boxy t-shirt. That will not be the case here. Not from us, we wouldn’t do that to you. And don’t think we are not going to have an exact replica of Cam’s homemade black hoody. And what about underwear you ask? Yeah there’s that too. You could do a Garanimal style ensemble. You could have UHH smeared all over you. What a lovely day that would be.
Lets see, what else?
Factoids:
We both like brownies
Cam knows Spanish, Leisha might learn it
We both have black leather Converse on right now
Today Leisha went running and ate yogurt, Cam watched t.v and had pretzels and Coke
Fav hip hop song, “Slide” by Missy Elliot
Leisha’s voice goes up 5 octaves when she’s on the phone
Cam has a good sock collection
Cam has the same tattoo on her belly as Jessica Biel, Leisha has been getting her tattoo removed
Leisha used to have 5 hermit crabs as pets, Cam had a guinea pig that slept under her chin

Current mood: mellow
So we have a bit of news. Cam has joined Leisha up in Vancouver to start working on the next record as well as rehearsing their live show. Cam is living in a corner in Leisha’s place on the floor, blow up mattress style. Don’t feel bad, we do it for the music. We’re very excited to be working on new stuff. We’re also workin on putting up more videos, etc… Our EP will be available on July 24th on all the main digital providers, however if you purchase it on iTunes, you’ll get an extra song!! Its pretty dope and about aliens, so go get it when it comes out tiger. rawr. Thanks for patiently waiting for our EP. We hope you’ll dig it. We do.
Cheers, eh.

ALICIA
Current mood: sad
So the rumours are true… Alicia has decided to leave the band because some other great opportunities have come her way. We wish her nothing but the best and will miss her. Don’t worry guys, we will still be recording a record after the EP is released on July 24th between Vancouver and LA minus a drummer, which we will probably hire in the fall.
UHH lives on!
tootles.
UH HUH. No more her for now.
Hey Everyone.
We wanted to let you guys know that there is an official fan mailing address now. Please feel free to send us letters, art, chocolate, or whatever else you’d like to the address in our information section…we’ll post the art up on our new website once it’s launched!
Hope you are all well..
LLLuf,
UHH
So- Leisha and Cam went to a ranch in the middle of texas for a little fun after finishing the EP. Alicia couldn’t make it. We were sad and we missed her. At this ranch we were privy to all sorts of wildlife experiences. Cam watched horses mate, Leisha talked to birds, we shot guns, saw a stuffed wild havelina, made a scary slasher movie with characters named “daddy”, played piano under the stars, and made smores. We also pissed off some of the locals at a party but we won’t go into details. All we can say is that there was some yelling and some drinks involved. heehe. We also saw UFO lights on the horizon. WE SWEAR! There are other witnesses. All in all it was a good time. Wild wild west!
AS far as the EP. It’s been mastered and out of our hands. Now all you have to do is be patient and wait. Good things come…capiche?
ps-”Daddy” will never be released to the public due to unforseen events that took place on camera that are just too evil.
stay gold.

Crank it Up
Hello hello. Uh Huh. It’s time! Our first song is up, so go check it out!! We’ve just posted a clip of our song called “Say So” on our Myspace page. The best news is you can buy it so you can crank it up in your car. There’s a link for people living outside the U.S. to buy it as well. We love you too.
We’ve had some cool things happen in the last month. While writing our record has been the major goal, we’ve been busy getting a really sweet team together. We signed with an amazing management company called Nettwerk Management, which reps such great artists as Sarah McLachlan and Avril Lavigne. Nettwerk is so cool, we’re psyched. We have lots of big plans together for the future but right now they’re busy getting our merch made to sell. We’re going to have some really kick-ass Uh Huh Her hoodies, T-shirts, stickers and some other surprise stuff. They’re also building our new website. There’s a page up now where you can sign up for updates.
We also signed with a booking agent, Little Big Man booking. It’s really great to have these fantastic people on board with us, because as you know, we’re good at spacing out and playing music and we can let them manage the details of our career.
A lot of you are asking when we are going to play a show. Well, we’d like to get our record written and recorded so we can start getting a live show ready by the fall. If we go back to film another season of The L Word in Vancouver in May, I will have to come down to Los Angeles every weekend to rehearse. If I have dark circles under my eyes next season, you’ll know why.
Nice talking to you,
Leisha
House Call
Hey, sorry I haven’t posted in a bit. Since coming back to Los Angeles after Kate’s and my recent visit to Park City for Sundance and all sorts of OurChart events, Cam, Alicia and I really have been focusing intently on getting up a song or two on MySpace as soon as possible. We’ll also post our profile on OurChart as soon as the as the profiles are ready to go, but right now, it is all about letting people hear our stuff.
We want to put something up soon because people are curious, and also it’s good to get feedback and input from fans. So, Alicia is about to record live drums in a studio in the Valley today. Everything else has been cut at Cam’s studio at her house, and Alicia will play along to what we have down so far. Once we have that done, there’s a guy we’re going to hire to do the mixing. Then, we’ll get it up and see what people think.
In the meantime, we also got our band pictures taken by Alexandra Hedison. She’s a good friend and I think she is an amazing photographer. We did it guerrilla style all over L.A., some in Silver Lake and some at an old construction site and some in a park. Alicia knew someone who drove an ambulance, so she called them and, in 10 minutes, these three women showed up in one. It was the funniest thing ever. We all got to play doctor. Good times.
Guess that’s all for now. I’ll get all that stuff to you as soon as I can. Uh huh, leisha
Well, it’s official. We named our band!
Let me introduce–Uh Huh Her.
Thank you all for your suggestions and sweet emails. We had a really fun time reading your comments.
Okay, now I want to talk about my two super fantastic bandmates, so you can get to know them better, Camila and Alicia. These are the two really talented girls I feel so lucky to have met. Here’s their story:
Camila was born and raised in Texas, before going to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music, where she graduated with degrees in music and business. Since she came to Los Angeles about four and half years, she has worked at a record label, done session vocals for such composers as Hans Zimmer, been on tour with Kelly Osbourne and worked with Dr. Dre. She has also been a member of a band called Mellowdrone, where she plays synth and bass and also sings.
Camila considers herself “more pop/electronic/rock oriented,” and admires the work of artists like Bjork, Radiohead, New Order, Blonde Redhead and Depeche Mode, but she also likes to add her classical music upbringing to the mix. She and I got hooked up through a mutual friend, and she wanted to start a new band. “I wanted to find another avenue to express music in a different way, with different people of similar interests.” Camila had not done a lot of writing with her current band, saying she “had been a hired gun for the most part, because the Mellowdrone record was already finished when I joined, and I really love to create on my own.” Camila adds: “This is yet another avenue to work with an amazing and talented pair of musicians. But more than anything, we just have so much fun!” Her goal is to create a new hybrid of sound, which we have been recording ourselves with her pro-tools studio at her house. “This way we are really in control of what we are doing,” she says. “We have creative reign over everything.”
Alicia met Camila on Kelly Osbourne’s “Sleeping in the Nothing” tour. Alicia was with Kelly’s band for three years and recorded drums on her album “Changes,” as well as on a live DVD. She has been drumming for 14 years now, since she was 12 and had been playing guitar since she was 10. “I started with guitar, but it was not enough for me,” says Alicia, who grew up in Michigan and came to Los Angeles five years ago. She has been a hired drummer for a lot of people, and played for a year and a half with a pop band out of Canada called Lillix, who record with Maverick/Warner Bros Records. Alicia left Lillix in November of 2006.
She wanted to be more a “part of the creative process than I have been, and also am looking forward to co-writing with two really creative ladies.” Her influences growing up have been bands like the Cure and the Smiths, as well as Portishead. She also likes the effect of all of us too. “It is a lot of fun to be working together so well, and I like seeing all of our different influences on each other,” she says.”Camila is more into electronic stuff and I am more rock and indie like Leisha is.”
So for now, we are working on songs as much as possible, meeting three or four times a week, sometimes for six hours a time, trying to lay down enough songs for a demo. I am really interested to see what Uh Huh Her is going to produce, although I can’t tell you how we came up with the band’s name. What can I say? The air of mystery.
Starting a new band
The weird thing is, when I was at acting school, I played music as a hobby. But then I started playing more regularly after I graduated in a band called the Murmurs, with Heather (Grody), mostly in condemned parts of town like Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Now it’s all yuppies, but it was pretty empty and scary then.
But we mostly played in subways to make money for bagels and a pack of cigarettes. We would have our favorite songs that we would repeat and then wait for the rush again, because you had to catch people as they were moving quickly.
We made a little indie record and started getting shows in Manhattan that year, playing mostly in the East Village doing double bills with drag queens. After about three years the record company guys started coming to see us; you could tell who they were because they were the ones wearing the suits and not the dresses. We got signed to MCA Records. We made a record and went on the road playing as an opener for musicians like Bush, Adam Ant and went on tour with Lilith Fair. I know: weird. But it was like a Forrest Gump life. At one point a song of ours called ‘You Suck’ did really well in the States and was a big #1 hit in Norway. We went there and were like the Beatles. All these screaming Norwegians.
After a while, the executives that backed us left and we kind of got lost in the company, even though I think we put out our best record then, called ‘Pristine Smut’ But they really stopped promoting it and it didn’t do as well as we had hoped. Then they had us work with different songwriters like Jane and Charlotte from the GoGo’s and they released the same record with three new songs and new artwork and it did great. Strange. But after a while the contract just ran out and it was time to go.
Since the show started I’ve come to realize how much I’ve missed playing music. So recently I started a new band! I met the coolest girls who are incredible musicians, Camila Grey (bass and synth) and Alicia Warrington (drums). We’re really excited about the music we’re making and getting our sound. It’s so different from what I’ve done in the past and it feels great to be creative in that way again.
First, of course, we have to come up with a name.
